Andrew Findlay, CAMS—Las Vegas, NV, USA

Andrew Findlay, vice president of compliance at Station Casinos, was hired in November 2003 to build a comprehensive anti-money laundering (AML) program after the company received penalties for program deficiencies. Findlay has more than 20 years of casino AML compliance experience and is responsible for formulating and overseeing the company’s AML program to ensure compliance with all applicable reporting regulations.

Moreover, he manages a team of more than 20 team members who are responsible for currency transaction reporting, suspicious activity reporting, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance and the casino’s AML training requirements. Findlay is responsible for interacting with all regulatory and audit personnel. In addition, Findlay serves on the American Gaming Association (AGA) Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) working group and he played an active role in helping create a best practices document, in order for the gaming industry to more effectively comply with BSA requirements.

Before joining Station Casinos, Findlay worked as a senior manager at Arthur Andersen, LLP and Deloitte & Touche, LLP. He helped develop a risk consulting practice for casino AML clients and managed numerous AML projects such as development, training, compliance review and remediation for both domestic and international clients. As part of the remediation practice, Findlay worked with government regulators on issues noted and participated in the closing conference to mitigate fine levels.

Findlay holds bachelor's degrees in both accounting and finance from Texas A&M University.
