Congratulations, Jacqueline Wells!

August’s ACAMS AML Professional of the Month was awarded to Jacqueline Wells. Wells was recognized for her leadership role and contribution to the anti-money laundering (AML) profession.  Wells took the position as BSA officer in 2006 and has become very experienced in the AML field with extensive knowledge in BSA/AML/OFAC compliance, deposit operations and administration.

Wells is currently the assistant vice president and BSA officer for Farmers & Merchants State Bank where she develops, reviews and maintains the BSA/AML risk assessment, updates and administers policies and procedures, aids in the research of higher risk customer activity and ensures that all employees understand the importance of recognizing suspicious activity along with various other tasks. In addition, Wells has a certificate in Forensic Accounting and is currently working toward her CAMS Certification.
