July’s ACAMS AML Professional of the Month was awarded to Michael Hannum. Hannum was recognized for his tremendous dedication and contribution to the anti-money laundering (AML) profession. With a Criminal Justice Masters in cybercrime, Hannum serves as a subject-matter expert toward money laundering trends. During the last 15 plus years he has been deeply integrated into multiple lines of compliance and fraud. In addition, Hannum partners closely with law enforcement, financial institutions and regulatory bodies, provides guidance and mentors employees interested in pursuing a career in the AML field. Furthermore, he is the co-chair of the Greater Phoenix ACAMS Chapter.
