1. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this article. There are so many points that resonate with me such as the need for the compliance function to be considered as a valid partner to the business and not simply a product of regulatory oversight. In the same vein, I have seen data churned by my team used to facilitate profitable and diligent focus on customers and the points made on data analysis could not be overemphasized. There is also an acute need for compliance staff to know the business as this is the only way any fruitful collaboration with the other units of the institution can be achieved.
