North Texas Chapter

The North Texas ACAMS Chapter hosted its launch event in January. The event was attended by representatives from financial services, multiple federal and local law enforcement agencies, technology and consulting companies. John Byrne provided the keynote address highlighting industry trends such as AML surveillance and detection of human trafficking. The inaugural board members were introduced to the members and recognized for their contributions to the chapter.

Building on the inaugural event in January, the chapter will continue its mission to advance the professional knowledge, skills and experience of its membership by hosting a seminar on OFAC Compliance in May featuring Clay Stevenson, managing director and global economics sanctions executive for Bank of America who will speak on Enforcement Guidelines and Handling Administrative Summons.

The chapter is planning other learning and networking events throughout the year which will be announced shortly. Our training events count toward continuing education credits for CAMS certification or recertification. We welcome all ACAMS members in North Texas to join the Chapter and invite those in the private and public sectors to do so as well.

We're looking forward to seeing you at our next event!
