Interesting article, it is true, compliance is constantly changing, like the world of business and mainly banking, we must adapt to changes and have enough vision to anticipate them.
The generational change is also notorious, the compliance functions are beginning to take over with Millennials, already reaching executive positions in many cases, but this change is also generating some rotation in operational positions.

El cambio generacional es también notorio, las funciones de cumplimiento están empezando a coparse con Millennials llegando ya en muchos casos a los puestos ejecutivos, pero este cambio también esta generando cierta rotación en los puestos operativos.

This assumes that most banks/FIs survive this crash. If the industry consolidates in to a few super cartels, there will be a lot less work in the compliance space and the hierarchy will choke out anyone with a contrarian vision.
