In this segment of AML Now, John J. Byrne, ACAMS executive vice president, sat down with Brian Stoeckert, managing director and chief strategy officer of CoinComply, to discuss the state of virtual currencies, such as Bitcoin and other concerns about the virtual currency space in 2015.

Brian Stoeckert is a recognized expert by the Wall Street Journal in financial crimes and currency exchange. He is the chief strategy officer at CoinComply, a digital currency consultancy, offering the first end-to-end AML, know your customer (KYC) and transaction monitoring service solely dedicated for cryptocurrency companies, start-ups and venture capitalists. He is also a principal at FC Strategy Group, a boutique consultancy delivering highly specialized skills to organizations seeking critical strategic execution of management directives.

Stoeckert serves as the chair of the ACAMS Chapter Steering Committee, as co-chair of the ACAMS Northern California Chapter, and served as a founding executive board member of the ACAMS Southern California Chapter.  Stoeckert is also the recipient of the 2011 ACAMS Volunteer of the Year award. He received his Juris Doctor from New York Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Stony Brook University.
