Paul Camacho, CAMS—California, USA

Paul Camacho

After serving six years as the vice president of anti-money laundering (AML) compliance for Station Casinos, Paul Camacho became the vice president of compliance for Yaamava’ Resort and Casino in May 2020.

Camacho previously served as the special agent in charge for the Las Vegas Field Office of Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) and received the highest honor given to IRS-CI employees, the Elmer Lincoln Irey Distinguished Service Award.

Camacho’s research on America’s battle of organized crime and corruption—including that of Al Capone—led to the discovery of significant historical documents and artifacts that are now on display at The Mob Museum in Las Vegas. His passion for uncovering the history of law enforcement following the money has led to several ACAMS Today articles, including those that reveal the origins of current AML and sanction regimes.

Since 2014, Camacho has served as a member of the board of directors for The Mob Museum, which is recognized as one of the top museums in the U.S.
