ACAMS PLEDGE TO

END MODERN DAY SLAVERY

AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

There are an estimated

40.3 MILLION

PEOPLE IN MODERN SLAVERY,

despite a blanket global ban on such practices.

With over 80,000 members in 175 countries and 58 chapters worldwide, ACAMS’s global community of financial crime prevention professionals are best placed to assist with the rapid implementation of the FAST Blueprint and to successfully detect and report human trafficking money laundering red flags in their respective organizations. Our partnership with the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research – Secretariat of FAST – illustrates why ACAMS is considered the global strategic partner of choice in fighting financial crime.

The promotion of the FAST Blueprint and its recommendations is yet another signal of ACAMS’s ongoing commitment to help end modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor and child labor in accordance with Target 8.7 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

I pledge to use my voice as a member of the financial crime prevention community to help end human trafficking and modern slavery in all its forms.

I recognize that I can empower my colleagues and my organization to better identify and mitigate modern slavery and human trafficking risks within their own organizations.

I agree to take individual and collective action by signing up to the following FAST Initiative Blueprint goal:

COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS

against modern slavery and human trafficking

PROVIDING AND ENABLING EFFECTIVE REMEDY

for modern slavery and human trafficking harms

KNOWING AND SHOWING RISKS

of modern slavery and human trafficking

INVESTMENT IN INNOVATION

for prevention

USING LEVERAGE CREATIVELY

to mitigate and address modern slavery and human trafficking risks
