John McCormick is a consultant in the Business Advisory Practice at Grant Thornton and is based out of the New York City area. He has over 20 years of financial industry experience specifically in alternative investment research and derivatives trading (exchange and over the counter [OTC]), which includes currencies, commodities, equities and fixed income. Throughout McCormick’s career within the financial industry, data quality has played an important role for each respective business.

McCormick’s most recent eight years focused on audit/risk in the financial services industry, primarily in Global Corporate Investment Banking and Asset Management audit. His current work revolves mainly on anti-money laundering (AML) compliance client onboarding, correspondent banking, transactional monitoring and AML audit activities.

McCormick received his bachelors of science in finance, masters of arts in economics, and his masters of business administration in finance from Fordham University.
