Becky H. Gondosch, CAMS—Brooklyn, OH, USA

Becky H. Gondosch, CAMS is senior vice president and director, anti-money laundering (AML) operations and transformation at KeyBank. In this role, Gondosch leads a team of more than 250 AML professionals responsible for executing enterprise-wide assessments of Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering risk. Her primary focus is AML transaction monitoring, AML investigations and enhanced due diligence of higher-risk customers. In addition, Gondosch is responsible for overseeing the customer identification program, customer due diligence, currency transaction reporting, law enforcement coordination and regulatory reporting.

Gondosch leads large and complex transformation initiatives to replace mature and internally built systems with industry-leading solutions. This includes managing stakeholder requirements to ensure alignment with KeyBank’s digital strategy, heightened regulatory expectations as well as business and compliance needs. Gondosch’s career in the financial sector spans more than 15 years, 12 of which have been in the AML field. Prior to her current role, she held positions with increasing responsibility in IT, internal audit and project management within the bank.

Gondosch has been a member of the ACAMS Northern Ohio Chapter since its formation in 2014 and has been the corporate executive sponsor since 2019. This chapter was awarded ACAMS Chapter of the Year in 2018, has been the host of the ACAMS Chapter Leadership Conference in 2017 and 2019, and conducts, on average, 12 educational events annually.

Gondosch has a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and accounting from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. In addition to her Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification, she is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She is currently a member of ACAMS, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Project Management Institute. Gondosch is the co-chair of the KeyBank Women in Technology, Operations and Services group and an internal ambassador for The Precisionists Inc. (TPI), a company focused on creating job opportunities for persons with disabilities, particularly those with neurodiverse circumstances.
