Greater Salt Lake City Chapter Hosts Event on Virtual Currencies

On February 12, 2015, the Greater Salt Lake City Chapter hosted its first quarterly educational event. The presentation, provided by Bradley Wilkes of WingCash, was on the impact of virtual and digital currencies on the money laundering landscape. With a turnout of more than 50 anti-money laundering (AML) professionals from around the Salt Lake area, the event was entertaining and educational.

The audiences’ diverse experiences led to good discussion and conversation on the challenges and benefits of the evolving digital currency phenomenon. Following the presentation, the chapter hosted a lunch and networking gathering that allowed AML professionals to make new connections or strengthen those that may already exist. All in all, the event was well-received and the Greater Salt Lake City Chapter looks forward to hosting many more events in the future.
